Demi Lovato is excited to announce her collaboration with Glee, the successful musical comedy-drama television series that airs on the Fox network in the United States.

Apparently, the 21-year-old former Disney diva will be playing a struggling artist named “Dani”, who lives in New York, and who will develop a strong bond and possible a love relationship with Naya Rivera’s character.

It seems that Demi Lovato is very excited and can’t wait for the fans to see her performing in the series. After the first day at her new job she enthusiastically posted on Tweeter: "Gllllleeeeeeeeeeee #1stDay #LOVEthiscast!!!" "Love my fans!!! Can''t wait for you guys to see Glee!!!" she gushed.

Demi’s castmates seem to enjoy the Mickey Mouse Diva’s presence on set. They promptly replied on the micro-blog: "@ddlovato gonna be amazinngggg!!".

The Glee cast has recently lost a member. Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the series, has recently passed away after heroin overdose. His former co-stars have been working on a special tribute episode in his honour. Cory’s death has been a painful experience for all the members of the Glee team.

"It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. It is the hardest thing to do. It’s been the worst week ever," Naya Rivera’s confessed.

Ryan Murphy, the series creator, has recently announced that they will not reveal Cory’s cause of death in the tribute, leaving it open to interpretation. Season five is scheduled to premiere in the US September 26. We are anxious to see Demi in the show!
