I remember that summer… when I was sitting alone. I was hanging’ at the Roadhouse but I thought I better roam. Then I went to the downtown, just to spend a few bucks, and buy something really nice to take home in my truck. I knew that I was low on cash it was my girlfriends’ birthday. I was dating a Cottey girl and she was driving in from a long ways away. So I wanted something special, very nice in every way, and while I shopped for her present, well she was on her way.
When you come to Nevada you will see it all, lots of shops and lots of people there’s no need for a mall. We’ve got a beautiful downtown where everything’s in sight. When you get to Nevada you know everything’s just right.
So I stopped in a EZ Cash and Camie was there, she helped get me some money and she was so cool and fair. Well then I got to thinking’ how something wasn’t right. I remembered my washing machine had broke last night. (Dang it) Jims Appliance and Repairs, they have nice stuff to sell, so I went to talk to Jim and left with a new Fisher and Pikel. So now my girlfriend will be happy, that my clothes will be clean. Now I hardly use the dryer what a great washing machine. (My towel is already dry)

Well now I’m thinking of Coffee, I love the drinks at Java Breeze. (I’ll have a smoothie) I dropped in to get a smoothie, and sat down to read the news (Hey look Crazy Julie is playing at Shooters) well it’s a peaceful place I love the way it looks. There’s really great people there, and, great coffee cooks (salute to Justin) Then I got up from my table I put the newspaper away (I’m assured it was the Daily Mail) I walked out to the square and saw the court house there. (I was speechless it’s really cool) It’s one of the oldest it’s in the top ten. The heart of Vernon County this is where it all begins.

I had lunch at Nevada Sunrise, and boy it tasted good. I even ordered the dessert just because I could. After that I got inspired to get a new TV set, all right fine it was a big screen with no hassle payment. I showed up at the rent-a-center. Gene pointed one out then the guys loaded it up and delivered it right out. But that wasn’t just all I bought to make her birthday right. I stopped in at TK Variety and almost stayed there all night. There were so many things to see; I think I bought 73, all unique in different ways for her special day. Then later on I got an itch, to get a sofa and a dish all things I’ll use down the road, but now it’s time to go to Dress Code.

Well Dress Code is a woman’s store, but the girls know what to say when a man comes walking in to shop there some days. They really helped me out on all the gifts that I bought. My girlfriend she loved them all, a big thanks to their shop. So when she got to town she had drove no stop all the way so we wanted a quiet evening at Catherine’s Hometown Café. Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, with Onion Rings on the way, what a great place, with great food I have to say. Later we rented some movies from Kayla at Family Video we watched ‘em on the big screen and all was good to go.
