Chris Brown turned himself into jail earlier.

According to TMZ, the 24-year-old R&B singer was due to be booked for his hit-and-run offence this Tuesday, but in order to avoid the photographers, he ducked into the Van Nuys jail a day ahead of schedule.

At 2 p.m Monday the ‘Fine China’ singer entered the building, was booked and later on released on his own recognizance. The entire process took 45 minutes. Chris is being accused of bumping into Olga Gure-Kovalenko’s car on May this year. According to the victim’s declaration, the artist refused to share his driver license and his insurance information on the scene, which is considered to be an offence in California State.

Fortunately for the rapper, these charges were dismissed. Chris Brown will next visit court on August 15. If the singer is found guilty, he could face up to 4 years in jail.
