Chris Brown New Single 'Calypso'
Chris Brown has announced his newest single off his upcoming album will be callled Calypso. He made the announcement over his Twitted account, which is becoming increasingly common in the music industry. The song will reportedly be produced by Polow Da Don, who is a renowned producer in the music industry.
Brown is attempting to capitalize off of his increased media interest following his emotional performance during the BET Awards. During his performance, which was a tribute to the late king of pop Michael Jackson, Brown broke down while singing his popular song Man in the Mirror.
Brown also recently told fans over Twitter that they can expect his next release to come at some point this year, or early next year. With a single on the way it appears that fans can expect the album sooner rather than later.
His last album, Graffiti did not perform as well on the charts as Brown had hoped. He claimed that retailers and industry executives were blackballing him from the industry after details regarding his assault of his former girlfriend and R&B singer, Rihanna, made their way online. The details were accompanied by photos of Rihanna’s battered face following the incident.
He will also be teaming up with Young Money’s Tyga to go on tour. It will be interesting to see if the increased media attention he has garnered from his BET performance helps Brown get his career back on track in the wake of controversy.
