Cher Is Overwhelmed by Celebrity
Cher has recently reported that being famous represents an obstacle in her way of mingling with people.
The 67-year-old diva is one of the most successful artists in the world, and apparently this success brings her unhappiness, too. According to Cher, she can’t step outside in public, like regular people do, and this lack of freedom makes her miserable.
'I don't remember the last time I went out,' she told British newspaper The Mirror. 'I am not happy. I like being an artist and really like being creative but I love my freedom too. However that's one thing I have lost.'
Currently, the diva is on a trip to London, city which she called “home” in the past. Unfortunately, Cher declares that she no longer enjoys holidays as she used to. The artist confessed that is harder for her to go out and visit her favorite places without attracting attention.
'I would love to just go to Victoria and Albert museum and wander around the exhibitions,' Cher confessed. 'It's one of my favorite places but I just can't. I lived in London twice and loved walking around the city. But not now.' Unfortunately, even the disguises stopped working for the singer, for she has run out of looks to fool people. Cher also declared that she hates when people take her pictures without asking for permission.
'It's hard for me to wear a disguise because people have seen me in every hair color and style imaginable,' said the diva. 'Everyone's got a phone camera as well.'
