Watch Cat Power's first video off new album Cherokee
Chan Marshall aka Cat Power debuted the first video on the new album Sun, a Zombie-inspired clip for the single "Cherokee". The clip presents a tale of laser-wielding survivalists' battle in the Californian desert against glowing ghouls. Marshall serves as both director and chief survivalist.
Cat Power's Top Star-earning LP Sun is out now via Matador. It follows the singer-songwriter's 2008 covers album Jukebox and 2006's The Greatest and was recorded in various locations including a studio built by Marshall in Malibu.
The indie artist will be playing a one-off UK show later this year. She will headline London's Roundhouse on December 12. It is her first UK gig in over four years. The show is part of a full European run of shows that also includes gigs in Amsterdam, Koln, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Milan, Bologna, Zurich, Paris and Brussels.
