Ashlee Simpson Delighted to Be a Mom
Ashlee Simpson is bewitched by her four-year-old son.
The American star shares custody of her son, Bronx Mowgli, with her ex-husband, Pete Wentz.
The 28-year-old singer and artist has recently declared to the press that she loves being a mom.
"[He's] smart, sweet and amazing. He's always funny," she gushed to People magazine.
Ashlee Simpson starred her career in 2009 in Chicago on Broadway. Currently she is doing a revival of the stage production in Los Angeles and has been spotted taking her toddler to the rehearsals. The young mom gushed that Bronx appears to love being part of the showbiz’s glamour.
"He keeps you on your toes and he's got great stories and a great imagination," Ashlee explained. "When I was doing Chicago, he said he was making his own play about ninjas." Ashlee is not the only mom in the Simpson family. Her sister, Jessica, recently gave birth to a boy, Ace Knute. This is the singer’s second child. She has a 14-month-old daughter, Maxwell Drew, with fiancé Eric Johnson.
Ashlee can also call herself an infatuated aunt. The star helped Bronx make a very sweet gift for Jessica and her son, in order to celebrate Ace’s June 30th anniversary.
"There was this awesome thing that we made with Bronx," Ashlee said.
"It was like cool, vintage shirts all made into a blanket, so all these things that represented his mom and dad. So we made that all into a blanket. Just cute stuff - things that represent Eric, things that represent Jessica, and you take the little vintage shirts and jerseys and make [them] into a blanket."
