Founded in 2003, this hard working five-piece from Midland, Michigan has carved out a niche of its own through relentless touring, a blue-collar attitude, and an explosive live show parallel to the hardcore veterans who’ve been at it for years.
In an age when genre defying is contrived and trendy, these guys do it naturally. Their sound is weighty and catchy, but always immediate and spontaneous. One part tough, one part Swedish, all parts heavy and driving, they are merciless from beginning to end. With the likeness of an Unearth, A Life Once Lost, or As I Lay Dying, And the Sky Went Red have the distinct ability to change tempos and rhythms at the drop of a hat, or pummel the listener with a never ending breakdown.
With the four song Drowning in Despair ep under their belt, and a full length in the oven, ATSWR are preparing to rock the East Coast in early 2004. Look for said full length to be released early spring on Saw Her Ghost Records and to contain the band's most powerful and scathing material to date.
