New posthumous albums from Amy Winehouse set to be released

New posthumous albums from Amy Winehouse set to be releasedThe father of late siner Amy Winehouse, Mitch Winehouse recently revealed that people should be expecting to hear some new music from Amy. Mitch, who released a memoir on June 28th titled Amy, My Daughter says that there could be one or even two posthumous albums with new music made by his daughter.

"I'm not sure that there is much more but I'm sure that we will get at least one other album out, if not two," Mitch confessed during an interview with BBC 6 Music. "There are loads of covers, loads of them, but the problem is we don't want to rip anybody off. When her fans are so precious to us we don't want to put out dross."

Most recent single by the singer is the duet song with rapper Nas, called "Cherry Wine". A great track, which was produced by Salaam Remi and will be included on rapper's upcoming record Life Is Good, due to be released on July 17. "We don't even have an explanation for how it happened. It was just magic. It just happened. It was supposed to happen. She made it happen," so the "Nasty" rapper said of their duet. Nas also collaborated with the singer on the "Like Smoke" single included on first posthumous album.

Amy's first posthumous release "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" came out in December 2011 and was well received by fans. The album debuted at No. 5 on Billboard 200 by selling 144,000 copies, marking her highest debut album in the United States. "Lioness" features unreleased songs, including her duet with Tony Bennett, "Body and Soul", which is also included in the 85-year-old singer album's "Tony Bennett: Duets II".

Another artist, Pete Doherty, revealed in May this year that he would use lyrics penned by Winehouse on his next solo album. The set will be his second solo effort, after his first record "Grace/Wastelands" came out in 2009. The Grammy-awarded star died from alcohol poisoning and was found dead at her home in Camden in July 2011.
