When sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow formed 2:54 (after spending time in a grotty punk band) they described their music as something that they needed to get out. “Something’s got a hold” wails and woahhohhohhhs Colette, over bursts of driving stinging, shreddy and noise that was produced by long time Harvey collaborator Rob Ellis in a disused fish factory.
